The following benefits and services are available through the Office for Economic Development.

Expeditor:

The Economic Development Director can streamline and expedite the business development review process and guide companies through zoning processes, building code regulations, licensing requirement and other development matters.

Business Retention:

The City offers an ongoing business retention program to assist existing businesses with problems and expansion plans.

Security:

The City of Ashland Police Department Crime Prevention Unit is certified by the National Crime Prevention Institute to provide free security analysis for Ashland businesses, plants, and other operations. In addition, the Ashland Police Department provides a bank escort service to local businesses.

Real Estate:

A listing of properties and structures available for sale or lease, supplied by the Economic Development Director.

Job Training:

The Economic Development Director can assist a business to identify job training programs which might benefit the business.

Small Business Development Center:

The Economic Development Director offers direct referral to Ashland's Small Business Development Center.
